Mission Statement

The Ministry Resource and Publicity Center serves all those in the Archdiocese involved in ministry by making resources available and by publicizing events sponsored by the Archdiocesan Pastoral Ministries Offices. The Center has over 5000 pieces of printed material: books, religious education programs, documents, etc., and over 900 tapes, mostly video and some audio.

The Staff:

Keeps an updated catalog of available resources: books, videos and audio tapes
Collaborates with other Pastoral Ministries Offices in choosing and acquiring additional resources
Promotes and facilitates the use of the Resource Center by parish lay ministers, teachers, clergy and other interested persons
Provides consultation for the use of A/V and other materials in ministerial settings
Prepares a monthly newsletter (PMD Express ) for the Pastoral Ministries Offices to inform parishes and schools of events and services offered by the Offices

Policies for Use of Resources

Any Catholic parishioner of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe May borrow the resources (books, video and audio tapes) housed at the MRC.
Materials can be mailed to parishes/missions or schools outside of Albuquerque. The MRC will pay outgoing postage for materials we mail out of town.
Books and audiotapes may be borrowed for four weeks (or longer by arrangement). Videotapes may be borrowed for two weeks (or longer by arrangement). It may be helpful to call or write ahead and reserve materials that are needed for programs on particular dates.
Videotapes may be previewed at the Center. Center staff can make recommendations of materials for certain programs, and for other informational needs.
Care and consideration of materials, and returning them on time are of greatest importance to insure that materials are available to everyone served by the Center. Users are responsible for paying for items that are lost or damaged.
The MRC Catalog is available and includes a listing of all books, audio and videotapes. Supplements will be made available yearly for the cost of printing. The MRC staff has automated the materials into a barcode checkout system.
The MInistry Resource Catalog is an online resource that you can search by title, author, subject, or keyword. After finding and picking materials, just email us to request these materials be held for you to pick up at the Ministry Resource & Publicity Center, if you live in Albuquerque, or to be mailed to you if you live elsewhere in the Archdiocese.
